Franco Bolelli organized a wonderful exhibition at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan entitled "Frontiere" I brought a ritual dance with gestures from the American Indian Cherokee tribe (of which I have a distant ancestor), body art (by Valentina Reolon), music by David Ryder. Franco Bolelli and Francesca Alfano Miglietti organised the Pantelleria Land Art Festival, Clare Ann Matz created a performance/land art piece in the volcanic lake "Specchio di Venere".The event was documented by photographer/videographer Pietro Borsi.

Poppo & the GoGo boy- NYC - 1986

In 1986 Clare Ann Matz was part of the Butoh dance group "Poppo and the GoGo boys" founded by Hisatoshi “Poppo” Shiraishi. Poppo and Tsuya moved to New York City, attracted to the vibrance and excitement of the downtown scene

Poppo & the GoGo Boys NYC The Kitchen

In the late 80’s Poppo Shiraishi founded an avant-garde dance troupe named "Poppo and the Go-Go Boys" which performed at many downtown NYC theatres. Clare Ann Matz was one of the brave experimenters of this extraordinary ritual form of dance. We performed at The Kitchen on 22.02.1986

Poetry reading Biennale Venezia 1999

dAPERTutto by Harald Szeemann, Oreste set up an ongoing program of meetings and interactive performances. One project was the reading of Poetry by Charles Matz, William Blake, Ezra Pound and the reading in Venetian of Giacomo Casanova's Iliad by Homer.
